Back on track!

After the excitement of completing the Foxtrail Winter Series a few weeks ago (which I will get round to blogging about), I seem to have generally just lost my mojo. The Winter Series really helped me keep focus during the Winter and now that it is over, my training has stuttered. It hasn't helped that I have been super busy at work and so haven't had the energy or motivation to head out for a run and I have been over indulging a bit more than usual. Owain has already blogged about being in the same place so not sure if it is the time of year, the poor weather recently, who knows?

I have managed to keep some miles ticking over but actually think that's made it worse as I end up on strava and can see what everyone else is doing, making me feel a bit inadequate. This has led to me having a bit of a hiatus from social media over the last few weeks. It has been refreshing to see that people seem to be feeling the same and I have been loving the more realistic posts from Abbyadventures about those can't be arsed running days and from Sally at fitnaturally showing what her kitchen really looks like.

I did actually ponder coming off social media completely but I do enjoy sharing my running journey, the highs and the lows, and it is great to hear that it has inspired others to take up running or to push themselves that bit further than they thought they were capable of. So I'm afraid I'll be here for a bit longer.

No racing for me this weekend but I will be doing the next best thing marshalling at the John Muir Way Ultra with the amazing Ali Wylie. I loved marshalling this race last year and can't wait to be inspired by all the runners again this year. Hopefully I will see some of you there.
