On a morning like this, when the sun is rising slow and steady
it's morning's like this that make it so easy to get up and ready.
I pull on my kit, strap on my watch and head out the front door
my way lit by my headtorch, a shining light guiding me on the floor.
I turn left, I turn right, I run up and I run down but always guided by the light
I look up and there it is, the start of a new day, the sun starting to shine low and bright.
Fingers still cold, breath still in the air but mile after mile I get the run done
It's mornings like this that my training is fun.
