With a dull ache in my toe I was struggling to walk to work. The office is only a mile from home but I decided to dust off my bike and I've started cycling in.
I took a week off after the holiday and ran the Tweed Valley Tunnel run with disappointing results but my foot didn't get any worse.
I took another week off so that I could run the Manchester Half marathon.
My foot didn't get any worse but it wasn't getting much better either. It was time to see a physio.
